Lauren is 7 months old!  I can’t believe how fast it has gone by.  Achievements.  Rolls EVERYWHERE.  Found her under her crib a few times, stuck under the armoire and halfway under the dresser.  She was trying to see what was under there and going through boxes.  She sits up by herself, although I am not sure when she started doing it really, she was constantly falling over and then one day I just realized she had been sitting on her own for about 10 minutes.  She talks, at the moment it is all da da da, I did dat, do dat, hi dot.  Then a random ma ma, ba ba, and raspberry blowing.

She still loves her veggies.  We had to cut out the avocado; she broke out in a rash and now spinach too, which is unfortunate because she liked them both.  We’ll try again in a few months.  I am doing some peas to go along with the green beans so at least she is getting some green veggies.  The carrots are always well received, as are the yams, sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, zucchini, and butternut squash.  She is finally starting to come around to fruit.  She had some applesauce the other day and thought it was ok, and banana mixed in with her spinach, and this morning she had chopped up pear that she fed herself and she thought that was pretty cool.  She has had real rice, and noodles and finely diced carrot and she likes being able to feed herself, as long as it isn’t too messy.  She didn’t like the pear to feed to herself because it was mushy and squishy and messy, but it was fun at first to push around the highchair tray, but then it was down to the business of eating.  We went out for Mexican and she had her first refried beans.  She wasn’t so sure about them, but ate them nonetheless.

What else?  Growing like a weed, still loves her jolly jumper, has no threats of crawling anytime soon, won’t even stay on all fours if you put her in the crawling position.  Eyes are still blue, hair is growing in, and it’s a light brown color at the moment.  She does sleep through the night more often than not, but prefers a cooler room and sleep sack.  Still just the two bottom teeth, we’ll see how long that lasts.
