Lauren – 10 Months
Wow, only two short months and she will be a whole year old. I can’t believe how fast it has gone. She is growing leaps and bounds. Learning new things every day and is such a happy joy in our lives. She still hasn’t perfected her crawl, she can do it, but prefers not to. She pulls herself up to standing randomly on things, but will stop in the middle of the room and "stand" on her knees and do a little dance. I think walking is in her near future.
While Hayden is here we started working on getting her to say sis, but instead she says Hayden. But not in a normal way, nothing is ever normal, it is in a I’m calling you from three rooms away kind of way, HAY-DEN, HAY-DEN. It will be hard on Lauren when Hayden goes home, they have gotten along so well.
Lauren has now gone on her first paddle, she loved it, we will make a few modifications the next time we go out, but it was good to try it and see how we all did. We are hoping for an overnight paddle to Hope Island. Camping and Kayaking in one!
She is very curious and mischievous, and still loves her food. Fruit is becoming more of an accepted item, but she loves Indian food, peppers (as in red, yellow, and orange), Mexican food, even tomato soup! Our adventurous child. I am glad she isn’t a fussy eater, even if she pretends she is when you try and feed her food. She closes up shop and gives you this "I am SO not eating that" look, but as soon as she tastes it it goes down the gullet like no one’s business. Silly girl.
